The Dashen Super App is a mobile platform from Dashen Bank that brings many services into a single app. Dashen launched it in January 2025 and describes it as the first banking super app in Ethiopia. It was built in partnership with a local technology firm, EagleLion System Technology.

How Big It Has Become
According to Dashen Bank, as of March 2026 the Super App had passed 2 million users and processed more than 25 million transactions worth over 250 billion birr. Dashen also still supports its older Dashen Mobile app, which grew out of the Amole platform that the bank launched in 2018.
Receiving Money From Abroad
Dashen Bank works with partners to bring remittances into Ethiopia. It teamed up with M-PESA Safaricom and a remittance platform called CashGo so that money sent from abroad can reach recipients quickly, with Dashen acting as the settlement bank. If your sender uses a provider that pays into Dashen, the funds can reach your Dashen account and be available through the app.
